HOTEL POLICIES / HOUSE RULES

These Hotel Policies/House Rules are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you.  They are presented here to help promote our guests’ safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understandings between theWit Hotel and the guest as we operate at heightened standards of cleanliness.

Noise, Gatherings, Disturbances:

To ensure all guests have an enjoyable and safe Wit experience, all guest floors are considered quiet zones and excessive noise is prohibited. No more than 4 registered guests are allowed in each guest room at any time. theWit Hotel reserves the right to ask any guest in violation of this policy to leave the hotel, with the guests responsible for any charges already or potentially incurred. Guests will receive one warning for excessive noise by hotel management. If we continue to receive complaints and security is required to visit the room a second time, a $500.00 disturbance fee will automatically be applied, and guest may be asked to vacate and depart the hotel due to the violations committed.
Guests may also be responsible for additional cleaning fees of $500.00-$2,000.00 as well as for any additional damage to the room.

Items Prohibited in Guest Rooms:
· Candles
· Balloons
· Confetti
· Rose Petals

Excessive Cleaning:

If rooms are damaged or left with a need for excessive cleaning, such as rose petals, confetti, and other scattered décor, guests will be charged corresponding excessive cleaning fees of $300.00 to $1000.00. In the event a room is required to be placed out of order any additional night(s) so that it may be returned to our standards, a fee in the amount of our prevailing best available rate those night(s) will be charged in addition to the accrued excessive cleaning fee.

100% Smoke Free:

For the comfort and safety of our guests theWit Hotel is a 100% Smoke-Free facility. Use of the following is strictly prohibited: cigarettes, smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vape or smoking cartridges of any kind, hookahs, incense, cigars, candle burning. Violation of this policy will result in a $500.00 cleaning fee.

Damage or Tampering With Fire Detection Systems / Fire-Fighting Equipment:

theWit Hotel reserves the right to take action against any guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the hotel, including smoke detector heads in public areas, guest rooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers.  Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire-fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel as a result, and will be evicted from the hotel.

Registration Policy:

Minimum age to check-in / register is 21. As the safety and security of our guests is paramount, all reservations are subject to a verification process. The first and last legal name as listed on valid photo ID must be listed on any reservation for check-in to be authorized. Any individual not named will be denied access to the room. Address must match the billing address registered to the card. Card holder name given must match card holder name listed with the card issuing bank institution. We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error. Because data privacy is a critical focus for us, any suspected fraud is reported to local authorities immediately.

Incidental Hold:

Cash is not accepted. When you use a debit/credit card to check in, a hold is placed on your card account for the full anticipated amount to be owed to the hotel, including estimated incidentals ($150.00 per night), through your date of check-out and such hold may not be released for 3-5 business days from the date of check-out or longer at the discretion of your card issuer. For an estimated time of release you may contact your card issuer at the phone number located on the back of your card.

No Pet Policy:

Pets (including emotional support animals) are not permitted. Legal service animals welcome.
